In week 1 of 2026 (29 Dec–4 Jan), the EU's RASFF system recorded 58 notifications affecting food and feed imports: 28 border rejections, 10 alerts, and 20 information notices. The most-affected origin countries were Turkey, India and Belgium.

25 of this week's notifications concerned products that had reached the EU market; 5 led to a recall from consumers.
