In week 2 of 2026 (5–11 Jan), the EU's RASFF system recorded 64 notifications affecting food and feed imports: 21 border rejections, 21 alerts, and 22 information notices. The most-affected origin countries were Turkey, United States and China.
40 of this week's notifications concerned products that had reached the EU market; 11 led to a recall from consumers.
